By Angela Semwogerere When I was growing up, I had friends from all social classes. Nothing really mattered at that young age when it came to choosing friends except that we had common personal interests. If an interview was required in order to be selected as a potential friend, it would have probably entailed questions like, “Do you have any experience playing a game called hopscotch?” “Do you know how to climb to the top of a mango tree or guava tree without getting hurt?” Or “In a tough situation where Tom and Jerry was showing at the same time as Garfield, which cartoon would you prefer to watch?” As long as you said yes to the first two questions and would choose Garfield over the Disney characters then I saw absolutely no reason why we could not be friends. The “Fruits of the Spirit” that are found in the Bible are: Love Joy Peace Patience Kindness Goodness Faithfulness Gentleness Self-control.     Specifically, they are found in the book of Galatians, verses 22 & 23. As I explained, I think these are great personal brand attributes. But, for me, I know I can’t achieve them on my own, because they have a spiritual aspect to them. It is intentional awareness and evaluation on my part, but then combined with me also praying that God will help me along the way. I heard a teaching about this at my church that really made sense to me. This is the exciting part! This is where the magic begins, where you start to realize the power of your own mind. People, trust me. This really works! I have 18 years of written goals that are documented proof. After all these years it is still mind blowing to me that something as simple as the act of writing it down can be so effective. The big question: Why is writing down your goals so effective? The act of writing down your goals engages three modalities, your manner of learning, giving you three times the reinforcement. Our learning modalities are the...

Don’t make your life an explanation...make it an EXCLAMATION! Did you know that the #1 reason people don’t get what they want out of life is because they have not decided exactly what it is they want? Deciding what you want is the first and most crucial step to getting what you want. My goal, through this 12 Step Program... to introduce YOU, persuade YOU and implore YOU, to take a closer look at your life and the endless possibilities that YOU can experience. I am emphasizing YOU - not your family, your parents, your spouse or your job. ..just YOU! YOU matter! If I were to ask you to answer the most basic question.... What do YOU want out of your life? Can you answer the question with certainty? Most people can’t. Why? Most of us have never been asked the question. We are groomed to answer what we want...
